Generally, these cards have no programming and to substitute it is only necessary to
change it and personalize it with the same bridges as the one removed.
2.14.- THE HOSE
The hose is the electrical union of the outputs of the remote control with the electric board
of the crane. The standard units have a hose and connector to avoid having to connect cables.
For installation, it is only necessary to disconnect the connector from the cable button panel and
connect those of the remote control.
If we effect the hose, we must use fireproof cables, always connect earth cable and verify
the input tension of the receiver. It is recommended that the length of the hose be greater than
one and a half metres.
2.15.- ELECTRIC BOARD OF THE CRANE
This is a cabinet containing the set of contactors which control the movements of the crane
motors. These contactors can be activated either by the hanging button-panel, via cable, or by
radio remote control.
We call this set of contactors electric diagrams of the crane. If the crane is unknown it will
be necessary to send the electric diagrams in order to make the remote control.
Generally, on the exterior part of the cabinet, there will be a sectionalizer to cut or connect
the power to the electric board and in turn, to the receiver of the remote control.
It is recommended that the remote control be installed at a distance of several metres from
the electric board of the crane.
2.16.- ELECTRICAL STATIC
There are very old cranes in which the contactors of the electrical cabinet produce such a
large amount of electrical static that they can cause the unit to stop.
Most of the time, by simply pushing on the start again, the unit goes back to normal
operation. On certain occasions, there may be such an amount of electrical static that in order to
operate the unit again, we must reset the receiver, disconnecting and reconnecting the crane
power.
Most contactors used in the new cranes have a built-in RC circuit so as to not cause
electrical static.
When installing or repairing a unit, it is best to analyse its performance when subjected to
possible static; to do this, press the manoeuvres briefly so as to cause the greatest number of
inputs and outputs of the crane contactors.
If we detect this blocking, we can carry out the following procedure: separate the receiver of
